Shinola is a Detroit-based watch company founded in 2011. Born after the decline of the automotive industry, Shinola still employs many previous autoworkers and maintains the mission of creating high-quality watches, leather goods, and bicycles, in addition to creating American jobs. They are extremely proud of their Detroit roots and work with other American manufacturers to create high-quality, durable products.

The factory is located in the College for Creative Studies, and their flagship store is located in downtown Detroit. It’s a great place to browse for gifts or for yourself.
