A Scenic Stretch
Dequindre Cut |
A two-mile pathway, known as the Dequindre Cut, is a below street level greenway that was once the Grand Trunk Railroad Line. Along the paved, underground escape, you’ll pass through East Riverfront, Eastern Market, and the Wilkins Street Plaza, where seating is available for a quick break. Take in the graffiti, urban artwork, and historical cityscape that capture the spirit of Detroit. Whether you like to walk or bike, the Dequindre Cut has separate lanes to do both safely. From Gratiot Avenue to Mack Avenue, enjoy another side of Detroit.
The Dequindre Cut is a great way to breathe in fresh air and take a casual stroll or ride by historic buildings and urban neighborhoods.
