Founded in 1907 by artists and art lovers, The Scarab Club has consistently been a place for creative individuals to socialize, create and discuss art. During its lifetime, it has been a social hub for automotive designers, advertising illustrators, graphic artists, photographers, architects and others. The beautiful brick building with its colorful private courtyard is situated just behind the DIA, and is still home to many working artist studios.

With its ample exhibition and event space, The Scarab Club continues to be a driving force in the visual, musical and literary arts community in Michigan. It also has become a very popular destination for weddings, garden parties and other special events.
